Up Cycle Mug

A mug had been dropped the other
morning and had chipped. I saw this as a new project.

I used masking tape to make sure non of the paint got on the inside. My idea was to use some old paint from the last time I decorated.
The painting didn’t go too well as I didn’t have a proper primer so get rid of the shine of the mug.

It was really streaky and bumpy and I just didn’t like it. So the next idea was to buy spray paint (I know, what’s the point in buying something extra if you’re up cycling) at this point I just wanted to finish the mug.
I bought a grey primer and some blue spray paint and in the end it turned out as I imagined it even if end up spending more than a normal plant pot would of cost, it’s the thought that counts right? :)
