As an 18 year old I have struggled on how to make lifestyle change while still living at home with my parents, however I knew even the smallest change would still make an impact, so I decided to start where I had the most control which was my skincare routine. Now I have extremely dry skin that is inflamed and red all the time, I have not yet found out what the problem is however over the years I have found ways to tame it.

Now onto the important part, I was very skeptical to start trying out products especially as most eco friendly products come in the form of a bar, however I started looking online at different brands and reviews but didn't know where to start. So I looked at what I already owned and started with whatever was about to run out first as the most important thing about reducing your waste is to use what you already have. For me it was my cleanser so I started browsing for alternatives and this is how I started replacing my products over time. I am still using a large amount of products that do not come in eco friendly packaging however it is a long journey and my skin is the priority, currently I am trying out a face scrub bar so everything else I am using on my face are products I know don't aggravate my skin even if they are not eco friendly but by doing this I get the full potential of the product I am testing and can see if it is actually working for me as zero waste products can be on the pricey side. There are so many ways to reduce what you’re using on a daily basis and who knows you might even find a brand new product that is better than anything you’ve used before, I am personally a huge fan of Lush Cosmetic which I am sure you will all be familiar with (is lush a international brand, I’m unsure, let me know) however we all know about their bath bombs and bubble bars which are a great alternative to your standard supermarket or drug store bubble bath, they are constantly finding new ways as a company to be more eco friendly by reducing packaging and even offering you free products if you take back so many empty clean containers, but overall it is a great brand to start off with, which leads me onto my last point, most of the products I am trying are pre bought meaning I order a selection of products I want to try in one go, I personally shop from Holland and Barrett as they have a wide range of brands which gives me the chance to try out more things, as I have said I am still on my journey and I have only just started these small changes if anyone has any questions or products of their own they want to share then comment below or message my instagram @lucymoss_photography. Below I am going to attach images of what I am currently using non zero waste and zero waste, let me know if you have tried any or want to know what some of them are. Hope this has been helpful:)
